So I am at the office working on files for acredidation, just something we have to do.



The Program Manager is in the office, he normaly isn't, so I said hi and went about what I needed to do.



He calls me over to his desk and says " I have something for you." I said "Ok. Whats up?" He hands me a folder and a little pin case and smiles, then says. "Congradulations, in recognition of your efforts here with us I wish to present you with the following Award."



I say "Thank you, you really didn't need to do that." He says to me. "Yes I do, you have done so much work for us in such a short period of time that we would be scrambling without you right now."



So I opened the folder and look at the pin. I about fainted. Here is the first paraghraph of the award.



"Congratulations on receiving the President's Volunteer Service Award from the President's Council on Service and Civic Partcipation. Through service to others, you demonstrate the outstanding character of America and help strengthen our country."



It is signed by President George Bush.



Now I know why they kept asking me if I was comming into the office this weekend. Sneaky people. Grrr..
